Sun Devil Football has become a national contender for the most coveted recruits.
TEMPE, AZ – Today, the ASU Football Class of 2014 has been signed, and the Sun Devils have proven that they are a contender for the nation’s top recruits.
ASU has signed 25 players from eleven states, and diehard fans should be excited about the level of talent throughout the 2014 class. It will be like nothing we’ve seen in Tempe in over a decade.
Many of ASU’s targets weighed their options with teams like the Seminoles, Wolverines, Cornhuskers, Ducks, Longhorns, Aggies, Trojans, Bruins and the Irish. But today when each prospect sat down with their official letter and a pen, they chose to become a Sun Devil.
ASU has one outstanding letter that has yet to be signed, and it’s as big as any in this class. 4-Star Kalen Ballage, the top running back recruit out of Colorado, was scheduled to announce his decision this afternoon at Falcon High School which he attends. However the school shut down due to extreme weather.
Ballage has been a “soft” commit for the Devils and his recruitment by other schools has been heavy right up to this very moment. Based on who you talk to, he will either sign with UCLA where he just had an official visit or ASU. Colorado, his hometown school, is the dark horse for his signature. Weather permitting, Ballage will announce at 3:30pm tomorrow at his high school.
